Blogger relations (not to be confused with blogger relationships like Im describing above) that is blogger outreach came up as a topic in a workshop I did on social media and the arts earlier this week. Dont have your office intern hapzardly send out a canned pitches, get to know the bloggers first. also blog at.
This is probably the root cause of the most egregious blogger relations SNAFUs. Here are my ingredients for the secret sauce of a nearly perfect pitch to a blogger. Without it, it is highly unlikely that you will get even a nibble from a blogger. Make sure that your product or service and pitch match the bloggers interests. Otherwise, a blogger just might assume that you got lucky, not that you were smart.
