This is probably the root cause of the most egregious blogger relations SNAFUs. They still play the numbers game -- build as big a list as possible, focus on the "top" blogs and bloggers, blast the pitch and see what falls out. also contacted a friend who is a professional photographer and blogger for her recommendations.

Blogger outreach A key component to many, if not most, social media campaigns are blogger outreach programs. Measuring your success isn’t too difficult, either when you ask: How many bloggers wrote about you? How much product did you have to provide for bloggers versus how many sales did you receive? Here are my ingredients for the secret sauce of a nearly perfect pitch to a blogger. Without it, it is highly unlikely that you will get even a nibble from a blogger. Make sure that your product or service and pitch match the bloggers interests. Otherwise, a blogger just might assume that you got lucky, not that you were smart.

Develop a list of media and blogger contacts who write about the types of products you’re comparing. If they accept, issue a press release announcing their involvement, optimize it for industry keywords and the name of the journalist/blogger. link building efforts caught my eye.
