ran a search (which I must compliment Brett on) and found many discussions where themes come in. It�s as simple as the simple rule � to link one page to another it must be a part of the page it�s linking too�s theme. Analyzing the all the text from every page we can compile a list of words that are relevant to their site.

That move involves change in on-page optimization, so I am thinking, since there are changes about to be done on the site, why not throw in nofollowing of the majority of navigation links, according to the recipe - link love flows from homepage to all the inner pages and from inner pages only to homepage and pages I want ranked.

The home page receives a lot of good links (and PageRank) because people like the site. We title the home page "Widget World, we have Widgets" to capitalise on those links and their link text; we also use the words widget and widgets in the page. Ill post that page when I come across it. Make sense? Not ideal.

Building an easily spidered site has ramifications in how pages, sections of a site, and entire domains are topically understood and categorized by bots, which influences indexing and rankings.
