I/ITSEC Day 3
I'm currently sitting at the Orlando airport getting ready to head back home from a great I/ITSEC conference. Today was spent wrapping up on the expo floor. Although I always wish that I had more time to spend with some of the vendors, I did manage to cover the entire explo floor. I attended one paper session on experiential learning. Using Simulation in the Classroom
Presenter: Ken Spero, James Allen This was more of a quick in and out thing for me Essentially, the presenters argue that we can use some of the higher tech simulations as Instructor-facilitated classroom tools. The simulation he developed made a point of getting rid of the best and worst options. Still complex, decision-based branching. The strength of this approach, he argues, is that it allows for more immediate conversation during the decision process. The entire ... the simulation in teams of 4 (they suggest a combination of 3-5 people) - 10 minutes of feedback and a small ...

3D Simulations are better, faster, cheaper
Brent Schlenker …that’s me…will be doing an online presentation next week. Caution – self promotion ahead! Proceed at your own risk. I am finally able to present one of my favorite subjects: Interactive 3D training simulations. A special thanks to the eLearningGuild for the opportunity.
