  • SCORM Compiant WIKI - Xerceo
Xerceo is a new WIKI that just hit my inbox. So, I've had no time to use it and therefore this is NOT a review. Its the concept that interests me. I've been thinking about this type of editable "course" ever since my first introduction to wikis. However, its been a tough nut to crack. I am happy to see that someone has taken the first shot at a commercial product to do this. But I'm sure this is something we will begin to see in the open source products soon as ... guessing each wiki page is like a learning object that is tagged. • Wiki Research
Through my research into Wiki implementations in corporate settings I have found that there is just not a lot of info out there. I am having a hard time finding good and bad examples of Wiki implementations and how they are best used in corporate settings. I have found a few blog posts regarding Wikis in corporate settings but overall I am going at this blind. I am assuming this is because Wikis are not being used in many corporate settings at this point and there are not many people with this type of experience. Once I have the Wiki off and running I will begin working on a case ...

  • Wikis as Assignments
I attended a very useful online presentation last week by Mike Orey of the University of Georgia (via the Wimba Distinguished Lecture Series ). In one of his graduate courses in education, as an assessment activity, he asks students to contribute to a wiki-book that he and his colleagues have developed: Emerging perspectives on learning, teaching and technology . The reason I am making this posting is two-fold. The concept of asking students to contribute to a wiki ... , he created a privately owned wiki for this purpose; however, Wikipedia could be used as well. Mike's eBook ...

I had some concerns about using a Wiki to communicate policy and other HR related information without having control of what is edited.
