Flash Player Coming to the iPhone
Narayen , recently spoke about developing a Flash player for the iPhone during the Adobe Q1 investor relations call . Narayen said:
“Well, you know, we really believe that Flash is synonymous with the Internet and frankly anybody who wants to browse the Web and experience the Web in all its glory really needs Flash support. I mean, we were very excited about the announcement from Windows mobile adoption of Flash on their devices and the fact that we’ve shipped a half billion devices now, non-PC devices — so we’re also committed to bringing the Flash experience to ...

Flat World Knowledge
Text books cost a fortune these days. And they don’t age well. And they don’t contain local information.
This morning I had a chat with former textbook publisher executive Erik Frank, who’s out to change the situation. He and another text veteran formed Flat World Knowledge to reverse the tide.
Flat World proposes to offer e-texts by known authors to students for free. (Students will pay for print & audio versions of the text, podcast study guides, mobile phone flash cards, etc.) Books will be printed on demand.
On Monday, Flat World goes beta with ...

Starting Slowly with mLearning
Over the past few weeks I’ve built a few small mobile learning (mLearning) applications and I’ve learned several lessons along the way. Here’s a brief recap:
First, as I’ve mentioned before , the point of mLearning is not to create a 45-minute course that can be accessed on a cell phone. mLearning is best used for performance support: quick, easy look-up tools for your learners are a good place to start.
Second, it’s easier than I ... phone is web-enabled). That’s it. Of course, if you add images and Flash, things get more interesting. Take ...
