The ASTD Big question this month is What did you learn about learning in 2007? I learn so much all the time from students, clients and colleagues, it is hard to narrow it down to just one or two things, but I'll try. Here are a few of the lessons I have learned. Mostly about the power of the network and Web 2.0 tools. First, I learned how far a ... learned first hand the exponential power of the social network of the web. Our fearless uber-learning-blogger Tony Karrer points out Dave Lee's concern that there hasn't been much discussion about this month's question. So, I'll add some fuel for thought! List to Learn, Learn to List
This month's ASTD Big Question is, again, a series of questions. Apparently one BIG question is not enough for the learning and development community. We aim to exceed expectations. If you have a to-learn list and are willing to share, and willing to share how you work with that list, that would likely be helpful information. I constantly have a "to-learn" list. Some of the items are necessary and some are "pie-in-the-sky." The big question for December
Learning Circuit's big questions for December are: 1. What will you remember most about 2006? For me, it will probably be my first complete year of blogging. I have learned absolutely masses from both the process of blogging and from the content of my colleagues' blogs. It took me a while to develop my own blogging style - I have for years written columns in training magazines and I thought this would be the same. It isn't. In some ways, it's much more like the ... , network building and the co-creation of content as an output of learning.

T+D Article - Input from a LCB Big Question
I periodically get feedback from people on the value of having the varied perspectives that come in through the Big Questions. I'm sure that participants have seen that value as well (although it likely differs from month to month). I also wanted to point out that a recent T+D article Learning and Networking with a Blog used perspectives from the October 2006 Big Question - Should All Learning Professionals Be Blogging? You can see a bit more of the article that got deleted at: Learning and Networking with a Blog (Deleted Scenes) .

The big question: making a start in e-learning
In the Learning Circuits Blog, the big question for October is "I'm interested in a career in e-learning. What should I do first?" My first recommendation would be to decide where it is that you see yourself fitting into the e-learning landscape - as a manager, a consultant, a salesperson for a vendor, a designer, a developer, or a moderator/instructor? You also need to be clear whether you see yourself working primarily in education or in workplace ... well as the eLearning Network (workplace learning) or the Association for Learning Technology (education), if ...
