This news just out that Microsoft is allowing you to create your own xbox games .  The BBC has an article Xbox outlines 'YouTube for games' . This should open the door for many more Serious Games being developed for the xbox, and perhaps open up the other platforms to opensource development.  This is going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.
