Donald Clark puts up a post about the ‘fadness’ of Learning 2.0. He feels that if it was all it was cracked up to be, we would see it mainstream.
“If informal learning was really all that dominant, then the adaptation and satisfaction rates of web 2.0 would be much higher as the learners would have been absolutely primed for this type of technology, no matter what flaws were in the implementation.”
As someone who has worked on implementing these technologies into an organization and a customer base, adoption of the technology does not depend ...

Mozilla Ubiquity as an On-Demand Learning Tool
Tags:
Tag One, Tag Two
Earlier this week, Mozilla (the makers of Firefox) released Ubiquity - a small application that allows you to quickly perform web-related tasks without having to surf out to different web sites. Watch their video for a quick introduction.
So, can this relate to learning? My answer would be absolutely! My main job is to help people learn (acquire knowledge and skills) and then apply what they know on the job. Sometimes this is done by providing them with the right tools ... information very quickly without having to surf around to different web sites. This is on-demand learning!

I recently finished listening to the audiobook, groundswell by Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff. Of course there is nothing in it that talks about e-Learning 2.0. eLearning 2.0 -> Informal Learning -> learning 2.0 -> web 2.0

Schlenker goes on to tie elearning 2.0 to informal learning to learning 2.0 to web 2.0, which is based on ... puny 10% to 20% percent of formal learning while we should be spending it on the 80% to 90% of elearning 2.0/informal learning/learning 2.0.

Clear your calendar for the 18th and 19th of September. Its going to be fun!!!I believe RSS technology is the most misunderstood of all the technologies in a Web2.0 world. While many may never need to know what it is, as an e-Learning designer/developer/manager it is critical that you understand how it works and how ... instead of mixing it into a larger e-Learning 2.0 conversation. Learning Governance: not shiny shiny but wicked important. Yes. Wicked. Like Ron Weasley says it.

I just released a report on creating and implementing an e-Learning 2.0 strategy. I know some people want to hurl when they hear 2.0 so I’ll wait.
There. Better? Good.
Here’s something I found interesting: those organizations that lack a governance model say (more often than organizations that do have a governance model) that learning activities and business strategies are not well linked (aligned). Where is alignment most noticeable? Which projects get prioritized.
So this, to me, means >>>
Having Governance = Better Alignment = Successful Projects & Resources ...
