    Last Summer Second Life was all the rage in the popular media. In fact, one of the most linked (and found) pages on this blog are the Second Life Tutorials (more SL posts). However, as much as SL gathered media attention, the bigger interest for most of us was the discipline of engineering simulation and data visualization.     I had a chance to chat briefly with Anders Gronstadt after the Sid Meier keynote and asked him what his more interesting projects were.He's been doing a lot with podcasting and creating podcasting tutorials (something that excited my colleague who has joined me for the conference).But he also said that some of the most interesting stuff in Second Life is the New Employee orientation. Social (meet your new co-workers) plus exploration. Stuff second life does very well.
